It seems only fitting this month of gratitude to shine a light on SABP’s one and only office manager, Macy Fridley.
Macy originated from the operating room as a leader and preceptor in Robotic surgery. She left a job she loved and excelled at to follow her vision, together with Dr. Fridley, of building a comprehensive bariatric program in hopes of changing their patients’ lives for the better.
This newsletter does not have enough room to list all the details she is responsible for to make the practice run successfully. In short, she oversees and supervises a staff of five vibrant and passionate employees and rotating surgical residents and P.A. students. She facilitates all billing, payroll, outgoing expenses, IT needs, staff meetings, and all office maintenance like utilities, internet, and the cleaning crew. She ensures we are fully stocked with bottled water and printer paper, down to the last band-aid or paper clip. She personalizes and executes the giving of all patient rewards and incentives like our 100-pound bell and one-year post-surgery coin. Macy creates and conducts all the marketing and social media content. She is notorious for putting together overflowing birthday baskets for her staff and often supplying them with the most delicious breakfast sandwiches to start the day fueled. If that’s not enough, these tasks are completed after she gets 3 young, healthy, adorable kids out the door prepared for school.
While you often see her around the office in heels, we have seen her fill up sandbags to protect the office from the threat of a storm in those same heels. She is always willing to roll up her sleeves to complete any job. This office would not run without her.
Thank you for all that you do, Macy!
